Very regretful sale due to loosing garage access. I simply do not have the space to keep working on it. Here we have a land rover series 3 FFR. It's the 109 LWB and was in the MOD untill 1988.

Being the military model it comes with taller shackles which gives it 2 extra inches lift which in my opinion makes these look far nicer. Also being military it seems like the chassis was kept wax oiled as it has very little corrosion and is in good condition.

Fitted with a 200tdi which runs very well, it's had a brand new turbo (300 miles ago) new rocker cover gasket, new sump gasket, new manifold gasket, new air/fuel/oil filters and is running on semi synthetic shell rotella oil. Valve clearences have also recently been done.

No oil burning, starts every time and will spin the back wheels with just 0.8bar of boost, it's set to 1bar currently. Custom 2.5inch side exit exhaust. Brand new seat belts and custom seat belt brackets.

Both front and rear bumpers restored. Bulkhead is also solid, I recently cleaned and welded some small corrosion which was around the lower footwells and behind door seals and refinished with hammerite.

Interior has partially been resorted. I've sanded down and painted the entire cabin with a black hammerite hammered finish. Including replacement of the gear lever, transfer case, pedal rubbers.

Door tops are brand new, lower doors need some attention as I've not gotten round to repalcing the lower supports which I do have. It's a days job really. Rear cabin window felts are also brand new. Dashboard has also been partially resorted with the wiper motor housing being we welded and reupholstered.

There's been addition of a usb charging socket aswell as volt meter and 12v out and boost gauge. Heating, wipers and vents work well. Dashboard converted to LED backlights, gauges work but I'm not sure how accurate they are. The military oil temp gauge also works as I modified the sump to take the original temp sender. Tyres are good, wheels recently repainted.

Gearbox, transfer case and swivel oil changed recently. Some leaks from gearbox and transfer case as to be expected. Engine is vertually leak free at this point. Will supply brand new defender one piece door seals also. If I have time I will also fit them. Gearbox and transfer case work well. 4wd engages as should though I've never used it. Paint is crusty and quite thick. I've left it as is as part of the charisma. But it could use a tidy.
