It has a slightly later 1958 2 Litre Engine; a series 3 rear cross member and series 2a axle ends. The vent on the bulkhead has been welded up at some stage but looks good (see pictures). It also has fibreglass front wings that have all of the correct light mouldings on them. I have never seen these before and I can't find anyone who has seen them previously but they do look very good.
The chassis is solid with some small areas of surface rust on the rear cross member due to being stored in an unheated garage this winter. The original yellow paint is also showing through the chassis as I have pressure washed it to enable any inspection. There is also a small hole next to the transmission tunnel which can be seen in the photographs. Having stated the quirky bits this is a great looking series 1 which always gets attention It has very good seats in the front with inertial seatbelts fitted and rear bench seats with single inertial lap belts on each one.
Any inspection is very welcome from genuine buyers but only on a weekend. This is a very genuine sale and I have stated everything that I know is not original. Please don't come and view if you want fully restored Series 1 although this would be an excellent base vehicle for a full restoration.
