Up for sale my Trusty Series 3 Land Rover. Owned by me for about 5 years.

When I bought it it had been standing a fair while. I replaced all the brake cylinders, wheel bearings, Rear floor Supports, rebuilt the swivels and tidied a lot of the electrics up. I did a bit of welding and got it through an MOT. I then decided to replace the 2.25D lump with a 200Tdi.

I bought a complete Disco 1 as a doner, fitting the Engine, Radiator and Intercooler, and the diffs which are the same as RR Diffs. The Engine has all been swapped over on the Log book with the correct engine numbers.

The Engine was apparently rebuilt when in the Discovery by the owner before the vehicle was condemned with Rot. It can be parked up for a day, a week or 6 months and always starts up first flick of the key. Very strong engine and gives the Landy plenty of power, Ive towed lots of big trailers and caravans with it. With the Disco diffs fitted it also gives it a fair turn of speed, cruising at 65-75 on the motorway is no problem. The brakes are later Twin cylinder type on the front and the Master cylinder is Servo assisted, meaning the brakes are fairly effective in comparison to most Series Landys.

Inside there are luxury seats fitted. A switch panel in the centre dash with Switches for the LED Interior lights, Rear Flashing Beacons, Rear work lights (not wired up yet) and a spare. Being a genuine Diesel from new it has the hand throttle which is still connected up and works. The bodywork is not tidy. Most people like it it like that, I do, working vehicle look or Patina.

It has the wrong Passenger wing fitted, should have one with a hole in for the Heater. The Top of the Bulkhead is very good but it will need footwells soon (provided). The chassis in my opinion is beyond Economical repair.

Ive put a few patches on over the years and replaced some sub standard repairs. Last year it passed its MOT needing a Front Dumb Iron and an Outrigger.

It could be repaired if youv a lot of spare time using a rear half chassis and repairs on the front end. With it now being MOT exempt Ive not re MOTd it since.

I still use it a few times a week and for steam rallys at weekends. The roof comes off in 5 mins giving the topless experience in summer.
